Sometimes anxiety is healthy. For example, anxiety about your next test can push you to study harder.
Constant worry is called anxiety. Anxiety can come from things you’re worried about, but it can also come out of nowhere. Either way, anxiety can make you feel like you’re not quite yourself. When anxious feelings make you feel threatened or very afraid, you need to talk to someone.
If you feel like your anxiety is too big to handle or you worry way too much, you need to talk to an adult you trust. Sometimes talking it out is enough, but other people go to see a counselor to talk about their anxiety, and some people are prescribed medication to help them with anxiety. You shouldn’t feel ashamed, and you are not alone. Anxiety happens to a lot of people, but it is important that you seek out an adult to talk to that can help you take steps to feel better.
